Every New Years' Eve, I'm always amazed at how quickly the past year went by. 2014 was no exception.
I always like to take the time to see which posts I have written which you, my lovely readers, thought were the best.
So, here are the top 5 posts of 2014 (based on the number of views by you!) starting with #5
#5 - Exhausted but can’t sleep? Dieting but can’t lose weight?
This post was close to my heart, as in my 40's I tried everything to lose the weight I had gained because of my adrenals being completely shot and fatigued. I never equated the amount of sleep (or lack of sleep to be more accurate) with my inability to lose weight.
#4 - [REVIEW] Family Meals by Michael Smith
Michael Smith, if you're not aware, is an award winning chef who makes his home on Prince Edward Island. My son and I used to watch his programs and had so much fun in the kitchen trying out the different recipes. I was honoured to have been asked to review his latest cookbook.
#3 - Move over Kale, Cauliflower has been announced as THE vegetable for 2014
Kale was the biggest buzzword in 2013, and while I LOVE Kale, know that if you have any thyroid or hormone issues you shouldn't overeat this vegetable. Cauliflower on the other hand is full of indole 3 carbinol which is key to hormone balancing.
#2 - 7 Tips to Start Quitting Sugar Today!
Sugar! I'm the first to admit that I have a terrible sweet tooth, and even with all I know, can still eat too much sugar. This was a great checklist on how to reduce and eliminate your sugar intake.
#1 - Do You Shun the Sun?
This post surprised me with how popular it was. It had 3 times as many hits as any other post I wrote in 2014. It was one of the beautiful sunny fall days here in Canada when I wrote it, and I'm glad that so many people enjoyed this post.
Did you get a chance to read these posts this year? If not, I hope you can take the time to check out the top 5 of 2014.
